Tricks to Remove Moisture

During the autumn and winter seasons, houses are subject to humidity. The factors that affect this discomfort are rainy weather that prevents the rooms from being aired due to low temperatures or the area where the house is located. By reading this tutorial, you can have some useful tips on how to solve this problem, using simple tricks to remove the moisture.

One way can be to change the air every day; thus, any mold formations on the internal walls are excluded. Another aspect that affects indoor humidity is when you dry clothes inside the house. In this case, it is advisable to spend some money and buy a laundry dryer.

The latter is ideal for all seasons. Alternatively, you can use a natural remedy with DIY: a dehumidifier. You have to take a plastic bottle and cut it in half; 200 g of salt must be introduced inside if the room has a size of 25 square meters.

Then, we cover the bottle and let it rest in the fridge for about 10 hours. Then the bottle is placed in the room, the lid is removed, and it is allowed to act for 5 hours. Then the wet salt is poured into a bowl and dried in the oven at 122°F.

Another quite effective remedy is to use silica gel sachets. The latter is readily available in the packaging of the shoes that are bought. They are very suitable and appropriate to be inserted in shoe racks near the house’s windows to reduce fogging or put them in the drawers where we store the books, which can deteriorate due to humidity.

Another method is that of a curious Himalayan salt lamp. It has drying effects and, at the same time, creates a fascinating atmosphere. There are 2 types of lamps: the classic one on the ground and another with the applique. The latter is very suitable since it must be positioned in the walls of the house; they are more subject to damp absorption. With the use of this lamp, the walls become decidedly dry.

Lime is the last remedy that can use. Must bear in mind that it is the most dangerous to implement. Must handle the lime with great care to avoid any damage to the skin and eyes. It would help if you placed the lime in a jar that must cap; then, you have to make holes in the lid. The jars are distributed over the affected areas to allow them to absorb moisture.
