How to sanitize the walls of the house

House walls are not cleaned as often as floors or window panes are washed. For this reason, the dirt not only accumulates day after day but can penetrate deeply and remove it at a later time, can undoubtedly become a rather complicated and time-consuming operation. By following a few small tips below, you will be able to perfectly sanitizeĀ all the rooms’ walls, quickly and effectively. So let’s see how to proceed.

Needed: Dry down, chloroform-based sanitizer, non-abrasive sponge, water, bleach, steam machines, damp cloth.

First of all, the first step is to remember that the house’s walls must be cleaned regularly at least once every two months, while the deeper cleaning can be done annually. In this way, the amount of dirt to be removed will never be excessive.

As for the so-called ordinary cleaning, dust the walls of your home up to the height that you can reach from the ground with a simple dry duvet. When you do this, open the windows to ensure good fresh air circulation. Otherwise, the dust removed will immediately settle on the furniture and floors, ruining your cleaning job.

After doing this, spray a chloroform-based sanitizing product on the walls, easily available at specialty household products stores or any well-stocked supermarket. If there are mold spots near corners or near doors and windows, don’t worry because you can effectively remove them by soaking a non-abrasive sponge in a solution made with water and bleach in equal parts. Rub the blackened part vigorously, and you will see that the mold will disappear quite quickly.

Subsequently, to carry out a deeper cleaning, you can safely use the special steam machines to sanitize both the surfaces and the layers immediately below perfectly. If you don’t have one, you can dust the surface well with a large duvet and then wipe the walls with a damp and well-wrung cloth, with a very diluted solution of water and bleach. Then let everything dry for at least 24 hours, then whitewash the walls with lime-based paint. Good job!
