How to get rid of coke stains

Quenching your thirst with a nice cold drink is something we all like. The call of drinks, especially sparkling ones, is powerful, especially in summer. Coca-Cola is one of the most popular soft drinks, especially among the little ones. It is good not to abuse it, as it is rich in caffeine and especially sugar.

There are also many dyes and acids in their formula. This means that Coca Cola can irreparably stain fabrics. And if that happens, how can you get rid of the Coke stains? There is a method for every type of fabric, and we will now show you.

Needed: Water, Glycerine, Sparkling water, Carpet cleaner, Fabric detergent, White vinegar, Soap making.

Use plain water for cotton.

Surely during an outdoor evening, perhaps in summer, you will wear something light: a cotton T-shirt, or a dress of the same material. As you sip your Coke, drop stains your clothing. What to do if you are not at home? No problem.

In this case, it will not be difficult for you to remove the Coca Cola stains. Simply water is enough to act effectively on cotton. You have to dab the stain with a bit of cotton wool soaked in water. The Coca Cola will come off without leaving streaks. The latter may remain if you use glycerin, an alternative to water but just as effective. To remove the halo, use soap.

Use carbonated water for rugs or carpets.

What if your glass of Coke falls on the clean carpet? Or on a carpet? These fabrics are very particular and difficult to clean. But even then, we have the method for you. You will have to act again with water. But this time, it will have to be carbonated.

Carbon dioxide helps a lot with thick fabrics and special textures. You will still need to blot the stain until completely absorbed. The alternative is specific detergents for carpets. Use them in the same way, following the instructions on the package and dabbing the residues.

Use vinegar for dry stains.

How to act on dry Coca-Cola stains? In this case, you will have to create a particular solution. But you don’t need to buy dangerous chemicals. It is more than enough of the common white vinegar. Take a small container and pour a part of white vinegar. Add the second part of fabric detergent.

For example, a cup of vinegar and a cup of detergent, in equal parts. Mix the solution well and wet the stains with this compound, letting it act for a few minutes. Finally, you will have to rinse everything and finish with a good wash in the washing machine. This will remove the last traces of Coca Cola from your clothes.

Note: If you are dealing with delicate items – silk, linen and the like – limit yourself to using water only.
