How to do Condominium Cleaning

Have you bought an apartment in a condominium, and the assembly has decided that the condominiums themselves must do the cleaning? We often arrange shifts for cleaning stairs and garages to reduce costs, especially when the building consists of a few residential units.

If the tenant cannot act personally, he can always instruct someone to intervene at his own expense. The problem is getting everyone to agree and doing a satisfying job that is contest-proof. In this guide, we see how to do condominium cleaning safely.

Needed: Broom, Mop, Brush, Bucket of water, Detergents, bag to wash on the ground, cloth to polish.

The areas to be cleaned are the stairs, the floors of the entrance hall, the common areas of the garage, and any internal courtyard if the condominium includes it. Let’s think about the interiors. First of all, it is necessary to ask about the type of floor to be treated. It could be marble, granite, porcelain stoneware, vitrified ceramic, or in rare cases, wooden, terracotta, and parquet.

The products with which to intervene are very different, and the problem is encountered precisely when you carry out the practical cleaning operation, shared with the other condominiums. In addition to cleaning, polishing may also be necessary if the floor requires the passage of wax, and the use of suitable household appliances, such as a polisher or high-temperature sanitizer, to clean thoroughly. In any case, it is advisable to coordinate between tenants to intervene all in the same way and with the correct detergents.

As regards cleaning stairs, before washing and sanitizing them, they must be adequately swept, taking care to dust the skirting board that follows its profile with a brush. Wash the floor with a scrub brush dipped in cold water and diluted detergent. Rinse the mop, wring and go over the staircase/floor starting from the upper floor.

In this regard, an important factor is the choice of detergent, not so much for the fragrance but for the chemical content that must be suitable for the flooring. Aggressive products such as anti-limescale, bleach, bleach, or inadequate degreasers risk irreparably damaging the surfaces. In particular, marble, terracotta, and stone require additional attention as they tend towards porosity.

It is also known that the condominium’s common areas are bustling and trampled, so it is difficult to keep them clean for several days, especially in case of bad weather. It is advisable to procure a doormat to be placed outside the entrance to reduce dirt, albeit marginally.

Note: Obtain suitable products from a specialist dealer.
