Put some? disinfectant in a basin with lukewarm water and wipe a cloth over the entire surface of the laundry basket. Do not rush, but thoroughly clean it in all its parts. Dry it with absorbent paper and put it in the sun for a few hours to dry quickly.

Another material widely used to make these containers is wicker. Take your basket and put it out for some? air. Meanwhile, prepare a mixture of water and a few drops of bleach, take a cloth, and moisten it. Pass it over the entire woven surface and try to remove all the dust. After a few hours, rinse well. Dry your wicker basket in the sun.

An essential aspect concerns the ventilation of the basket. Avoid buying a totally closed one. Precisely because it must contain dirty laundry, it must have openings or holes to prevent the formation of humidity and germs. For all these reasons, the basket must also be waterproof.
