Normally, when we talk about essential oils, we immediately think of their beneficial properties and their use in the therapeutic field. In reality, these particularly valuable substances also lend themselves to other uses, very different from the better-known ones and mainly linked to psychophysical well-being and aromatherapy.

Cleaning the house using natural products is also an excellent alternative to purchasing chemical detergents that are not very respectful of the environment.
Essential oils are very effective for disinfecting, cleaning, and cleaning the surfaces of our home. You can add them dropwise to your natural cleansers for a more cleaning effect.
All essential oils can be used for this purpose, obviously in the right doses without exceeding. Before using them, it is good to inquire about the characteristics of the individual oil and its potential contraindications.
A very effective essential oil for disinfecting the bathroom is a tea tree. The use of tea tree is widespread in natural cosmetics, but few know that its properties are also perfect for cleaning the house. Dilute 15 drops of tea tree in a liter of water with half a glass of vinegar; they are perfect for fighting mold, cleaning mirrors, and disinfecting bathroom fixtures.
In the latter case, its action is expanded and intensified with 10 drops of lemon essential oil. Half a carbonate glass, 15 drops of tea tree, and 15 drops of eucalyptus oil, dissolved in a bucket of water, are perfect for cleaning floors. A few drops on a damp cloth are instead beneficial for disinfecting handles, windows, and furniture.
Essential oils are also a great help to perfume. They are very concentrated, and just a few drops are enough to obtain an intense and persistent aroma. To eliminate odors, you can use a citrus essential oil, such as neroli or lemon.
Pour 10 drops of essential oil into 100ml of water. Help yourself with a spray bottle and spray the mixture upwards. You will immediately notice a fantastic citrus aroma, which will invade the room and slowly ” eat ” the bad smells.
And what about the tiles? There is a remedy for those too. An essential oil that helps to cleanse gently but with great effectiveness is that of eucalyptus. You need 300 ml of water mixed with 600ml of white vinegar. Shake the mixture well and add 25 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Mix everything, and you will get a highly effective, fragrant multi-purpose detergent with excellent degreasing power.
You will then have created a natural product, completely non-toxic. You can spray it on tiles but also on plastic. Spray the mixture, let it act for a few minutes, and then proceed with cleaning. The dirt will come off easily, and you will get shiny tiles and a pleasant balsamic aroma.
