How to clean the flame spreaders
It often happens that the flame spreaders located on your hob need to be cleaned. It is not always easy to have the solution at hand because the flame spreaders are extraordinary objects that require specific and careful maintenance.
How to act, and above all, what to use to restore efficiency and brilliance to all the elements of your hob? In this guide, we will show you how to clean the flame caps in the best way.
Choose the best solution.
Homemakers know this well: very often, it happens that the flame-spreader plates need to be cleaned. Residues from gas burns, black halos, food, and fat often cause the complete or partial obstruction of the holes from which the flame comes out, causing many problems for the correct preparation and cooking of the dishes.
Hence, it is necessary to intervene promptly. It should be remembered that there are essentially two possibilities for intervention. The first involves the use of special degreasing products, specifically for flame-spreader plates. The second intervention consists of creating an effective mixture at home that can clean these particular objects.
Use a degreasing product.
The first intervention that can be carried out, as mentioned, is to clean the flame-spreader plate with a specific degreasing product. These products, which are on sale in the form of modern bottles in specialized household hygiene stores, do not require removing the plates and must be operated directly on the hob’s surface.
So spray a small amount of product directly on the plates and rub with an abrasive cloth. Insist on the particular energy in areas where dirt seems to lurk more evidently. Rinse the flame caps and let them dry for about 30 minutes. After this surgery, your fire will be beautiful and alive again.
Clean with baking soda and vinegar
A second solution is to create a do-it-yourself solution for cleaning the flame caps at home. Take a fairly large common basin and pour a good amount of water into it until it is about half full. Then add three tablespoons of baking soda and half a glass of vinegar.
As an alternative to baking soda, you could also use two tablespoons of salt. Stir the mixture and immerse the flame-spreader plates in it after having removed them from the hob. Leave to soak for a few minutes and, again with the help of a sponge, scrub every single element.
Then rinse thoroughly with cold water and put the flame spreaders back in their place, then verifying gas and flame’s correct emission.
