How to Clean Street Lamps

Every self-respecting courtyard, garden, or driveway has its own lighting that allows you to have a good evening and night view. This is made possible thanks to the outdoor street lights that make the area bright and visible. Despite being made with materials suitable for outdoor use, they need constant maintenance to keep them always looking good and at their best. Let’s see together how you can easily clean street lamps.

Needed: Soft cloth, Container, Water, and neutral detergent.

These elements can have various shapes, heights, and dimensions, but the cleaning process remains the same for all. The only difference is the disassembly of the individual objects, which obviously depends on the model’s complexity.

The first action to take is to disconnect the electricity to avoid unpleasant accidents, as you will be handling liquid substances. At this point, you can start dismantling the top of the pole. Next, the ceiling light, the sphere, or the casing covering the lamp must be disassembled and removed from the element.

When all the pieces have been arranged on a comfortable surface, you can prepare the solution to clean them. First, you have to take a basin and pour some water and a little neutral detergent into it. Any universal detergent is recommended.

You have to dip your hand inside the container with a soft cloth to impregnate it with the cleaning liquid. You don’t need to squeeze it to get rid of excess liquid, as cleaning is easier this way.

You have to start rubbing the transparent part until it is apparent and shiny, remembering that it will be the one that will allow the light to illuminate the outside in the best possible way.

This operation must be done until you notice the surface completely free of dirt, and then you can rinse it and put it to dry. In the meantime, we can dedicate ourselves to the post of the lamppost. It must be cleaned the same way, taking care not to get water into the areas where there are cables.

When this work has been completed, it will be possible to reassemble everything the same way it was previously. Then, finally, you can turn on the electricity, and you can look forward to the cleaning just done.
