How to clean a plexiglass chair
Plexiglass is an element that can boast infinite potential, successfully offering a mix of functionality, practicality, and aesthetics. These characteristics produce safety glass and similar items in accident prevention devices and various furnishing or architectural elements.
Ideal for environments furnished in a modern and minimal style, the plexiglass chair is offered in different sizes and models, representing a valid and interesting alternative to a more classic type of seat. Moreover, it is a piece of furniture that is easy to maintain, and in the next steps, we will explain how to clean it.
Prepare what you need.
We are talking about an unbreakable material composed of plastic optical fibers: they make it, in appearance, similar to glass. However, unlike the latter, it tends to become opaque and possibly scratched: a correct cleaning can make it shiny again.
The necessary to clean it effectively is inexpensive and often already present at home. However, one can still purchase it in a normal supermarket: it is sufficient to have some soft microfiber or cotton cloth, a toothpaste tube, soap neutral liquid, cotton wool.
Clean the surface
Proceed as follows: fill a basin with water and pour 1 tablespoon of neutral liquid soap (never use aggressive detergents). Next, dip a cloth in the soapy water, squeeze it, and then start cleaning the chair in all its parts, both above and below, insisting on any marks.
Wash and rinse the cloth well and pass it several times over the just treated plexiglass, carefully removing all traces of soap, then dry everything as quickly as possible with another cloth.
Polish the chair
You are well underway. Now all you have to do is polish your freshly washed plexiglass chair perfectly in every part. But first, to get a perfect result, be careful to take one more last step: identify any small surface scratches that over time may have created on the legs, seat, and back, then pass a cotton ball over them with a little toothpaste.
Then rub the affected areas well with more cotton to completely remove all traces of paste. Finally, take a soft dry cloth and carefully polish all the surfaces with fast and decisive movements: they will surely shine again, and your chair will look like it has just come out of the shop.
